4.0 Setup Guide
Let's face it, setting up PokeBot can be a hassle for those new to the program. But fear not! 4.0 setup is simpler than ever! Just make a few tweaks to your settings and you'll be good to go.
Settings
For the bot to work properly, your copy of PokeMMO must comply with these settings.
Many of you may already have these settings-- this is all that's required to get PokeBot up and running. Of course, don't forget to customize the bot controls to fit your needs!
- Use the default theme. Custom themes can be adapted for PokeBot but they require a good amount of work.
- Turn off await key press. Means you won't have to press "yes" several thousand times each battle.
- Turn off render weather. It gets in the way of the bot.
- Set text speed to 4. Makes everything go faster.
- Use DS sprites. Plain old Fire Red sprites aren't fully compatible with the bot.

Bot Options + Launch
Upon launching PokeBot, you'll be greeted by the launcher. Before launching it is important to customize your PokeBot options first! Access them by clicking the gear icon. From the options selection, make sure to customize your controls! If your PokeMMO controls do not correspond to the bot controls, the bot will not work properly!
To launch the bot, simply click on the large blue tile with the words "Unified Bot."

Bot Controls
The bot controls are very simple and remain unchanged from PokeBot 3.0
- Esc: exits the bot
- Backspace: pauses the bot
Anything Else?
Congratulations! You're ready to use PokeBot! There are still some things to keep in mind when using PokeBot
- Play it safe: botting is always a risky thing to do in PokeMMO. Don't bot excessively and keep an eye on the bot at all times!
- Stay low: don't bot in heavily populated areas and stay in higher channels
- Customize: write your own custom behavior files, not only does it allow you to bot in your favorite locations, it also puts you off the radar
