Scripting
Creating Custom Scripts
With a basic knowledge of programming and a dedication to your vision, you can easily create your own scripts for PokeBot using the PokeBot Library.
So what is the PokeBot Library?
AutoHotKey is a powerful automation program which utilizes libraries to extend its already amazing capabilities. Libraries are basically a compilation of functions. The PokeBot Library contains over twenty functions specifically dedicated to making bots for PokeMMO. Simple, high level, functions such as walk_right() or detect_run_default() allow for the easy creation of bots.
Great! So how do I get started?
Let's start out with the proper tools first. Download and install AutoHotKey here. This will allow you to create your own macros-- but wait you're not done yet! A dedicated script editor will be very handy. I highly suggest Scite for AutoHotKey. It can run scripts directly from the editor, features syntax highlighting, auto-complete, and a host of other helpful features. If you would like, you can also take a look at AHK Studio. Once Scite is installed, you should be able to open .AHK files just by double clicking.
Finally, make sure you download the PokeBot Library*-- it's what makes PokeBot possible to begin with! Make sure you save the library inside the AHK user library folder, which is found here in the following directory: Your Username\Documents\AutoHotkey\Lib.
Alright! Now what?
Let's take a look at some of the functions included with PokeBot Library!
By downloading PokeBot Library you agree to the terms and conditions.
